Angelina Santisi was a young woman of strong and kind character, deeply religious, highly determined, and visionary beyond her time. One of her hobbies was her passion for fabrics, sewing, knitting, and crocheting because she loved making sweaters, children’s clothing, and thoughtful gifts for everyone. Angelina studied tourism and, at a young age, worked for many years in a clothing store, where she was praised for her accomplishments. In addition to her hard work for many years, she always devoted herself to her family, her three grandchildren, and her parents.

In 1958, Angelina met her husband, Antonino Saglimbeni, and they got married on February 14, 1963. In 1966, their firstborn, Maria Antonietta, was born, and five years later, the second child, Angelo, arrived. Her son remained by her side for 50 years, being her best friend at every moment.

Around 1980, after many sacrifices alongside her husband, she dedicated herself to building their second home and began the strategy of renting their first home to pay off the construction debts. During that time, the subtle idea of a vacation home for tourists was born.

On June 28, 2006, Angelina became a widow and experienced immense pain when she lost her beloved husband, Antonino Saglimbeni, to cancer.

Unfortunately, at the age of 82 in November 2019, Angelina was diagnosed with senile dementia and early-onset Alzheimer’s. To ensure her all the love and full care she deserved, her dear son Angelo and daughter-in-law Tatiana, who were newlyweds at the time, expanded their love and dedicated this period of their lives to the complete care of the beautiful Angelina. They faced all the challenges and suffering of this heartbreaking disease that had afflicted her for three years.

Our beautiful Angelina was welcomed into heaven on November 25, 2021, leaving behind immense grief in everyone, especially in her family who loved her. She left precious lessons about the importance of unconditional love, lessons that no book or university can teach, because love and daily care will never be forgotten in the language of love.

To keep her always present and alive in our hearts, our memories, and for all the lessons learned during this painful period of illness, as a form of gratitude for a lifetime of sacrifices, Angelo and his wife, Tatiana, officially inaugurated THE HOUSE OF ANGELINA on June 1, 2022, with the mission of offering hospitality with love, respect, and acceptance, just as Angelina did for everyone, without any discrimination or prejudice.

Hosting with love is our mission. We are a couple with a beautiful cultural blend: Angelo, born in Taormina, Sicily, and Tatiana, born in São Paulo, Brazil. We blend both the hospitable Sicilian and passionate Brazilian essences with joy and enthusiasm for hospitality with love, offering our guests a special and welcoming experience.
